People love to pretend that their lives are somehow not in their control. I don't know if they 'love' it as much as they feel more comfortable and protected underneath the warm blanket called 'excuse'... After all, by not taking responsibility for what you want but don't have in your life is a terribly hard image to stare at in the mirror every day.
